BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — At The Lost Dog Cafe in downtown Binghamton, Representative Anthony Brindisi announced his run for re-election to the 22nd seat of Congress. Brindisi defeated Tenney two years ago and she recently announced that she will be running again for the seat. Brindisi is keeping the theme of his last campaign; running with a positive message. Tenney received a endorsement from President Donald Trump . Republican Claudia Tenney is also running for congress. “I really believe that people are very sick of the negativity in campaigning and I want to bring people together, that’s what people tell me most when I see them at town hall meetings,” says Brindisi. “They want to see Democrats and Republicans working together. That’s something I’ve done over the last year and a half and it’s something I hope to continue to do on behalf of this community,” he says. In a year and a half on the job Brindisi used bi-partisan efforts to get four of his bills signed into law by President Trump.
