Hundreds of cannabis plants discovered in two adjoining Kerry properties

first_imgGARDAÍ HAVE SEIZED hundreds of cannabis plants from two adjoining properties in Cahersiveen, Co Kerry.Gardai searched two houses at approximately 6.30 pm yesterday evening, Friday 30 May, 2014. During the course of the search, a total of some 250 plants in various stages of growth were discovered at the two properties. Gardaí say the plants have an estimated street value of up to €200,000, pending analysis.A Garda spokesperson said the discovery was part of ongoing intelligence-led operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs, and that seizures play a “critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities”.No arrests were made and investigations are continuing.Read: Over 80 per cent of drug seizures in Europe are for cannabislast_img
