Lennon not expecting national team callup

first_imgBurnley winger Aaron Lennon insists he is not expecting a national team call-up despite putting on an impressive display in front of the England national team coach.The ex-Tottenham Hotspur player scored his first goal since 2016 when he scored Burnley’s second goal of the game during their 4-0 win over Bournemouth.The 31-year-old made his England debut as a teenager and is yet to be called to the national team setup since February 2013.He said, according to Sky Sports:“It’s a long time since I played international football. You never know. But the only thing I am concentrating on is playing well for Burnley. Whatever happens, happens.”He said of his goal drought: “It’s been preying on my mind to be honest. I should score more.
