Maher says Tipp Captaincy is a learning experience

first_imgTipp’s Brendan Maher says he learned a lot from last year’s campaign as the Borrisoleigh native enters his second year as Captain of the senior hurling side. Clare have lost to both Cork and Galway in their opening games of the campaign, while Tipp have one win from two. A win today for Eamon O’Shea’s side would catapult them up towards the top of the table.  The Banner’s manager Davy Fitzgerald has made 5 changes from team that were beaten by Cork. Paul Flanagan, David McInerney, Tony Kelly, Shane Golden and Conor McGrath all come into the side. Tipp have brought Noel McGrath, Conor O’Mahony and James Woodlock into the starting fifteen. Brendan Maher will be looking to lead from the front this afternoon and he says there are things he will do differently this season. Today’s match throws-in at 2 o’clock and we’ll have full live coverage from Cusack Park here on Tipp FM in association with Nenagh Quickfit Centre, Ormond Street Nenagh and Doherty Hardware, Rosemary Square Roscrea.last_img read more
