Triston Cole, R-Mancelona. “I am thrilled that this is the very first piece of legislation that Speaker Pro-Tempore Rep. Lee Chatfield is introducing to the 99th Michigan Legislature.“By reducing the income tax we will allow folks to keep more of what they earn, resulting in an even better Michigan to work, play and raise a family.”House Bill 4001 will immediately reduce the income tax from 4.25 percent to 3.9 percent in 2018 and phase out 0.1 percent every year until eliminated.#####last_img
